557012 2007-06-08 02:12:00 Well I have been trying this morning to get the laptop to access the ip addy (probably wrong name) :P But i cannot access it, I have to make the assumption that do to that I have to be connected to the net via the ethernet cable.

There is this morning no change, connection has been intermittent, though not as bad as in the past. The portable is disconnected totally, even has the batteries out of it. And still it disconnects in the bedroom.

Oddly enough, we have a radio in the bedroom. For some years we have had no trouble with getting the one or two stations available to us, though in the last bout 5 months, we cannot even run a radio in there.

:illogical

See? I thought it would be aliens! They like to burrow under unsuspecting homes in remote neighborhoods and use their intra-galactic hyper frequency transmitters to report back to their mothership....either that or Bill Gates thinks you have a bootleg version of Vista and is getting ready to sterilize you.

557013 2007-06-08 02:37:00 Have you even been to Kiwiland Joe? The US of A wouldnt even think of splatting us for our oil reserves or even just because they can.
You know why??
Weve got f-all of f-all

Which is why aliens wouldnt bother either, they swarm all over the US cos of the understanding that gullibility is the ability of sea birds to fly :D

I live near one of NZ's (oops sry Billy) most famous surf beaches, where Daniel Kereama coms from, (if you are a surfer, you wouldnt ask who he is) check out Raglan NZ surfing.

Have a lovelee day

557014 2007-06-08 06:47:00 Taking the battery from the portable phone may not help. Try unplugging the base phone from the power. I don't know ... do these cordless phones babble between each other even when there isn't an active call? I supsect they do ... just making sure they are connected. If they don't, of course, the phone can't be the problem. :D

I'd concentrate on getting the satellite Internet connection reliable first. Can you cable-connect the laptop to the satellite modem/router to eliminate the wireless connection? If you can't keep a connection like that, you must fix that.
