555919 2007-06-05 14:28:00 IPhone is coming out end of this month here in US.
For NZ its will be out there June 2008 at the earliest.

I am getting one this month...it will retail for about US$500 - 600 :D
Its good to be living in US for these sort of things...you always get it first :)

yeah, you also get the product recall first too

does the term "ginea pig" come to mind anyone?

Most of the AT&T users who are waiting for the iPhone are not Mac users.

Thanks . . Even IF there was a product recall, rest of the world would still be twidling their thumbs well after North America gets post recal one !!

Unless IPhone was designed ground up from Taiwan or Timbuktu I wouldnt be too worried:D

In general anything that needs testing out and seeing the results before mainstream use, it gets dumped into Oceania or Asia first!

I don't think that most of the people who will be buying the iPhone will miss the lack of PSP features since the iPhone is not aimed at the PSP market.

555925 2007-06-06 07:33:00 uh, read my post again. i was saying it is a blackberry crossed with a psp, and without the keypad.

what "the rest of the world thinks" according to the media doesn't change the fact it isn't anything new nor amazing. we all used to think the world was flat too but majority isn't necessarily right

555926 2007-06-06 07:36:00 Two models of the phone will be available: a US$499 ($667) version with 4 gigabytes of memory and another model, which will retail for US$599 ($801) and have 8 gigabytes of memory . Given the usual premium phones sell for in New Zealand, that would put the iPhone in the $800 - $1000 range here .

What can you get for that price? Quite a lot actually - from the iMate and Blackberry to the Treo and some high-end Nokias, you can get much better featured phones with the 3G data speeds the iPhone lacks . They may not have the aesthetic appeal of the iPhone, but by the time the iPhone becomes available here, maybe 2 - 3 years out, mobile handsets could look very different .

actually sounds alot like what i've been saying:rolleyes:

and it's good to see apple helping AT&T create a monopoly

555927 2007-06-06 08:17:00 iPhone... sheesh couldn't they come up with a better name for it  Another Apple product that I will stay away from... Hmm, I need a Portable Media Player... I am NOT getting an iPod... :D EDIT unless someone else pays for it... In which I will use it for target practice with my slingshot... and crossbow soon to be comming :D

Muahahahahaha :D
