| 555908 | 2007-06-04 11:25:00 | I don't plan on buying one myself because it is not the sort of phone that I use or would need, although I would imagine that there will be sufficient demand from people in NZ to warrant Apple NZ bringing them in when sufficient numbers become available. When the iPod first came out everybody said it was a crazy over priced device that wouldn't sell....100 million + units and many failed "iPod killers" later...;) |

This time the 3G network might actually get utilised. |

Keep on imagining then. |

| 555915 | 2007-06-05 09:58:00 | Why asume it would come here at all?Demand. Assuming the model for the rest of the world is 3G, then it wouldn't take much effort to get it working here (the only special thing Vodafone would need to support would be visual voicemail - if they are an EU carrier, then it is even less work). If they don't sell it themselves, I'm sure someone will parallel import them eventually. Maybe we should have a poll closer to the time. :D I'm planning on buying one provided... ...it is 3G (don't want to be paying for dial up speed internet access, I'd rather go without and stick to WiFi hotspots). ...the minimum monthly fee isn't hideously expensive, or the minimum contract isn't super long. ...it works with Auckland University's NetAccount system. ...I actually like it when I see it in real life. |

| 555916 | 2007-06-05 10:09:00 | We will know soon enough if it has GPS capabilities. And I am pretty sure that the iPhone will be work on a 3GSM network since it has been updated with a lot of stuff since the initial announcement. | winmacguy (3367) | ||
