555615 2007-06-03 10:27:00 Anyone know where Laura is she has not posted for a while now and normally she would be on this thread about sayings etc, or have I just missed her posting? zqwerty (97)
555616 2007-06-03 10:41:00 Was wondering about Laura, too, zqwerty.
I think she did say that with her dialup and the use of avatars, it would make it harder for her to log into this site.
It was for that reason I removed mine.

555617 2007-06-03 10:59:00 Hey Peeps :D

I am trying to find those little round marbles you know the ones, the ones everybody played with as a kid... I have found that these marbles make great ammo for my weapon of choice (slingshot :D)... Anyway, I have been looking around 2 Dollar shop, KMark and The Warehouse and none of them have the marbles and have not had them for sometime  I am wanting A_LOT of them 1000+ does anywhere know a place around the Wellington area that still has them? and are cheap?

Thanks :)
Run out of standard punchings, have you? Go to your local sports store. They have lead or steel balls for your requirements!

Yes and no, I do get them, it is just marbles are so much cheaper, I got 300 marbles for $6 at the 2 Dollar Shop a few weeks ago (the last 3 bags) and they are not getting anymore in  (I asked today) It is really a cost thing... since I fire off many rounds a day :D

So, $6 for 300 marbles or $9 for 120 lead pellets... yeah... and I have to say... the marbles are much better both with accuracy and damage :xmouth:

555622 2007-06-03 12:12:00 Maybe you could take up a more constructive hobby...;) By damage I mean to the targets  and have you ever shot a slingshot? the first time I shot one I was hooked :D

What on earth are you shooting at that you can't retrieve the spent ammo?? :illogical I do... but the lead pellets are useless after a few shots cause they go out of shape... and the marbles, the ones that I can find (have not bounced away somewhere or gotten lodged deep into the bank) I reuse till they break (which is most of them)... I am firing off a few hunded rounds a day...

He he he I have a wooden target, paper targets with a catcher and any pests around the place get attacked (rabbits etc) (which is where most of the ammo is lost... out in the bush) :p
