Do you mean the pins or the whole thing?
On wikipedia, i found that DVI-I is intergrated and is both anolog and digital but it only explained that said that DVI-D can connect with DVI-I but didn't say that it couldn't connect with DVI-A. Bt all pins in DVI-A will go into a DVI-I connector. Here is how i found out (en.wikipedia.org)

747953 2009-02-14 21:51:00 I've got a DVI-A to VGA adapter here.

Just tried it in the other PC, which has 1 DVI-I / VGA / HDMI connection

Worked fine. The screen (which is VGA) turned on, no prob at all

747955 2009-02-14 22:20:00 No probs

If you were around Mt Eden, I would give you one. I've got a DVI-A to VGA, DVI-I to VGA, and another adapter. I dont know what it is. It doesnt match any of the pics in the link you posted from Wikipedia

Its got the connection (like the top one in the link you gave on the left). BUT only 6 pins, in the next set of blocks (similar to DVI-A, but doesnt have the bottom 2 pins)
