747721 2009-02-14 00:33:00 New PC.
Onboard Graphics on ASUS board, 2Gb DDR2-800, Sempron CPU.

The only thing I've found to cause the problem is Windows Picture Viewer. Bring up a picture in it and then go through the print wizard in it. It goes through its steps OK until you get to the actual print page where you can alter number of copies etc.

Then the screen gets brown dotted lines, about 3 or 4 rows of them appear across the middle of the Viewer window - and partly to the side of the window on the desktop.
A Refresh screen clears it.

Beats me why.
It hasn't done it in any other program although she doesn't really have many installed as yet.

Her photo wizard part of her Epson printer doesn't cause it and it runs through a similar wizard to Windows Picture Viewer.

I updated the graphics driver which made no difference at all.

XP Home, SP3 - a very newish install too.

No.
But it doesn't do it in anything else, she's been emailing, browsing, typing, playing music, moving stuff around and only in the Picture Wizard.

747727 2009-02-14 19:54:00 No, thanks anyway Speedy - its dotted lines across the screen, not ghost images.

I might swap some bits out next week. But its odd its only when using one program.

747728 2009-02-14 20:11:00 Nvidia onboard graphics?

If you open the Nvidia COntrol Panel does it do the same thing?
I've seend this on some boards when you use the drivers supplied on the CD.
I have had to download the latest drivers from Nvidia to fix it.
