While Apple has had a number of products that haven't lived up to expectations for various reasons - the Windows adoption rate amongst PC users of Safari may be one of those casualties. It will be interesting to see how further releases go. Apple has also had more than its fair share of very successful products and continues to do so. |

I know I shouldn't respond to your dribble, and I have as much distaste for MS as I do for Apple but come on, Overall MS products have out sold Apple by millions to 1. There is no denying that Apple have had plenty of success but they don't sit anywhere close to MS. Apple I'm sure wishes they had the type of success that MS has. |

If your referring to Windows OS and MS Office which are and have been Microsoft's main sources of income at 80% of revenue source (Windows server licensing probably brings in the other 20%) then yes, absolutely afterall MS used to make more money from software for Apple than Apple did from hardware I think. However for products other than Windows and Office? Can you name any that are actually profitable for Microsoft not counting Windows server licenses? |

Well with 90%+ OS market share they should although if you look at the profitability of each company in relation to size, MS should be doing a lot better than it is. MS is worth approx $300 billion US with about $29 billion cash in the bank Apple is worth $100 billion US with about 6% world wide market share with about $12 billion cash in the bank and growing at a rate of about 30% per year... MS has become another IBM, big and stagnant. |
