my xp isn't bootable anymore. All my drivers from my old pc came in an ACER disk that I can't use on my new pc. |

Your motherboard has a built in NIC (Network Interface Card) it just needs the drivers installing into Vista for it to be able to connect to the internet. They will be on the CD that came with the motherboard. If you don't have the CD you will have to download the drivers from the Asus website on another computer and transfer them over to install them |

Of course, I have a mobo CD and totally forgot about it (I have been overwhelmed by all the cables and screws for the last couple of days). Installing drivers now. Thanks. |

I just want to say that this site and its participants are amazing. If not for your very quick responses, I would still be trying to sort out what the problems with my PC were. But now, thanks to the internet, even a total amateur like me can build a PC!
Thanks, guys. Touching wood that nothing unexpected happens to my new system, or I'll be back! |

Yes I still spend time on here learning you will always be doing that but the pleasure you get from building your own and being able to help friends is well worth the effort |
