558580 2007-06-13 10:50:00 Maybe he meant Tab Mix Plus (addons.mozilla.org), but this is the extension that has known compatibility problems with ColorfulTabs ... Jen (38)
558581 2007-06-13 15:12:00 Colorful Tabs 2.0.2 and add the (new named) TabMixPlus 0.3.6

It appears that they changed the name since I last looked...but they both play well together...no problems here.

558582 2007-06-13 15:15:00 I count 7 colors and I have the open tab in RED LETTERS for finding ease. SurferJoe46 (51)

558584 2007-06-13 21:09:00 OK, I've played with TabMixPlus and its a keeper. I like the italics for unopened tabs, and bold text for the current tab being viewed. The bold, along with Colourful Tabs, hopefully means an end to closing (press mouse middle scroll button) the wrong tab. Right click > Bookmark This Tab is also a useful feature.

:nerd: Geeky all this may be, but its useful to me.

558585 2007-06-14 16:02:00 Remember that you can always drag a tab to the toolbar for a quick reference too.

I set my toolbar to FOLDERS and then I can add tabs that I want to folders with names like: "STREAMS" "CLIENTS" "SCANNERS" "SECURITY" "RESEARCH" ...etc.

Just drag the item to a category that fits and drop them there. I currently have 14 folders on the bar and they seem to cover all the topics I consider important.

I read quite a few on-line publications....I like science fiction, and have a separate folder for everything I find there. I create two sub-folders and have the stories I have read in one, and those I haven't read in another.

You also get "Reload tab every (x) (minutes/seconds)" too . That way you can keep the refresh rate to the value you want and you can monitor any changes to the tabs when and if a change happens while you're online .

For those times you accidentally clicked a tab into limbo, you can also recall the deleted tabs by another part of the right click menu . . . very helpful!

You can also protect or lock a tab too . . . makes it harder to accidentally delete it too . It'll tell you when you are about to make a big mistake by asking you if you REALLY want to do this .

Where is this function? Right clicking on a tab, I see Reload Tab / All Tabs, but not with a time as you state .

[edit] ok, see it now: Tools (Firefox) > Tab Mix Plus Options

There are a lot of options, enough to keep anyone happy .

Greg is missing out on some good geeky fun . :D
