558747 2007-06-13 10:41:00 Very nicely done I must say. But then again, when did Helen Clark and her populist policies ever have any teeth or guts. There are probably one of the most reactive rather than proactive govt's I've ever seen.

Plus she wants a Free Trade Agreement with China before any other country and completely destroy the manufacturing industry left in NZ so saying bad things to China wouldn't be the best way to do it.

558748 2007-06-13 10:53:00 As a kiwi who made the decision to move to Australia 2 years ago, and I really have no regrets on doing so, it was the governance of New Zealand coupled with the stifling political correctness that prompted the move as much as anything. There are aspects of Australia that leave a lot to be desired, but on the overall balance, Australia wins out over New Zealand under its current administration. KenESmith (6287)

You said it. They are politically far too close to the USA for my liking. It's a shame. Our mates should have more sense.

I stand by my comments 100% based on the other actions the Clark-led government have shown in the past, and have continued doing this year.

A "chance", informal, and unofficial meeting doesn't count.
