| 558540 | 2007-06-12 22:06:00 | I have just watched his latest DVD called The Space Within US and I would have to say he is one of or if not the best showman in the world. For a guy who is in his sixtys he has the energy of a 30 or 40 year old. His audiences comprise of children to people of his age. When he plays some of the Beatles numbers the cameras pan across the audience and you see people with tears in there eyes. If you are Beatles Paul McCartney fan this DVD is a must have and also if you haven't got it Back In The US. Trevor :) |

| 558542 | 2007-06-12 23:09:00 | I just saw the Fab Four (http://www . thefabfour . com/) . . . a Beatles Reprise group here in Hemet, California . . . and I can say it was as if I was at a real Beatles performance . The amphitheater was perfect . . and a nice warm Spring evening . . . what would be better? Good Scotch and beer, gentle wind and great music . They started out with the first songs . . . Ticket To Ride, Help!, That Boy, Eight Days A Week . They then went out of the bubble gum era to the more serious stuff . I really enjoyed the Yellow Submarine, although the "Ringo" didn't quite have the same voice intonation . . . his drumming could NOT be faulted . . remember Ringo was left-handed and had a unique drum sound . Anyway . . they went to Sgt . Pepper and did quite a few numbers from that too . . . all good! They did and performed all the music first-hand . . no recorded loops or effects either . Later they did some of the Paul McCartney solo and even did Michelle, with a video running on a projection screen . . my wife thought it was a live shot, but as it got to the end, we say that it was a video of an older performance with the Paul clone making exactly the same moves and hair flips . . etc . George did a few of his numbers, thankfully they didn't do My Sweet Lord . . a song I particularly hate . Finally they let John from his albino days with Her-That-Ruined-The-Beatles Plastic Ono Band . . . Imagine was delivered after a rather long soliloquy about Gacey and John getting murdered . The accents were great, the presentation was perfect . . with the exception of Ringo's voice, and it was very well worth the money for 2 hours of pure Beatles . Why do Liddypool accents disappear when they sing? |

Trevor :)Sounds impossible, and as much as I crave his music and admire his songwriting talent and singing, it's hard to imagine he's still so good. So yeah, bugger me, I'll just have to go and buy the disk to find out for myself! |
