| 748755 | 2009-02-17 22:54:00 | Hi All. Maryann's computer. For some time now the PSU fan has been noisy on startup & then quietening down after 15-20 mins. Yesterday we noticed a burning bakelite smell. It appeared to be coming from the PSU. The fan started quietly & up to speed. I took the side panel off & the CPU fan was running. Both fans are clean After an hour I felt the PSU case & it was cool. Should I be worried? PSU is Exel350WCE. Thanks PJ |

| 748759 | 2009-02-18 06:31:00 | You got it PJ - Only thing you may find is the PC runs better with a new PSU. :thumbs: Just make sure the extra cables are tied nicely up out of the way, makes it look a whole lot better and improves airflow through the PC when tidy - use plenty of Wire Ties. | wainuitech (129) | ||
