2009-02-16 22:15:00 The question of a newbie: I run XP broadband, and connection wizard of Ubuntu suggests ...well I'm not sure what it suggests, but I hoped it was possible to be Internet connected XP and Ubuntu without having to change specs each time I log on to Ubuntu. My long term aim is to use Ubuntu solely. When I follow instructions to the letter, it seems I forego my XP internet for Ubuntu and vice versa. I don't really want to do that.
Love your help in all matters I read, greatly appreciative of the time many of you take, you have opened up a world for me.

2009-02-16 22:30:00 I don't really understand your question. Are you running ubuntu off the cd every time or do you select which operating system you want to use at startup? shermo (12739)
2009-02-16 22:39:00 I select OS at startup, cheers bernz (14430)
2009-02-16 22:57:00 Do you mean sync your bookmarks/passwords etc? Blam (54)
2009-02-17 04:51:00 No its not about passwords etc...When I try to connect to Internet in Ubuntu, I am told that another system is configured, i will have to replace. But I want to be able to use either without each time having to configure pOp isp mail etc, as I said I'm a newbie. I know I'm not giving enough info but I don't know what to give....sowwy guys bernz (14430)
