| 558995 | 2007-06-14 06:53:00 | Does anyone know which agencies report you change of address to Electrol Roll in NZ? I left NZ a month ago and was just checking my details on secure.elections.org.nz and they seem to already have my overseas address even though i did not report it to them except to my utility provider i.e Telescum n Mercury to post final bill Does the departure card when you leave airport really get processed by someone but even then i dont recall departure card having space to write yor address in overseas? Just a question on who is keeping an eye! |

Maybe you wanted to get snail mail and had this forwarded to your new, outside, NZ residential domicile. And as as you left NZ I think passport and customs may have something to do with this. |

Yes. he is a pretty nice bloke. You will find, tho, that he doesn't speak proper English, just a mangled version that has evolved over there !!!! PJ :D |

We spent several years out of the country and our details on the roll were never updated to show our new international address even though Customs / Immigration would have had it. IRD also knew our new street address though we maintained a Post Box here that they sent mail to. Wasn't till we updated via our local Embassy that anything got updated in the electrol database. |

| 559004 | 2007-06-15 05:00:00 | And yet when we moved four years ago and I told everyone I could think of and put in a change of address form, my drivers licence wasn't updated. It was only when I realised last month that it had actually expired that I found out my old - as in seven years old - address was still being used to send things to. Funnily enough all the registrations for my bike and car arrived, just not anything to do with my licence! And the weird thing is, I had a ticket in 2000 and THAT arrived at the correct address, so whose fault is it? | Beemer (6956) | ||
