As for the rest of that stuff I'm sure most of that's been covered numerous times before.

More than likely, will look forward to seeing some new interesting content in next months PC World NZ :)

I thought Annies post was constructive. She constructed her personal findings (or lack of) when she went to your magazine for advice.
She stated her goal, and using your medium searched for an answer. She failed to find the answer and discovered that your magazine lacked any substance. She commented that your magazine is becoming watered down (PC World lite) and then figured that others here might be able to suggest an alternative that magazine that may better suit her. Annie constructed a well thought out and concise synopsis which in its brevity has portrayed exactly what many of us have already realised.

I would hazard a guess and say she wont be resubscribing, especially after your flippant comments but then again - hey you've out sold netguide woohoo!

I am with Sam and Annie here, she was very good,I have found same as her.

To say these things have been written about b4 seems odd,it assumes we all catalogue or can remember content over years,I think all would need reminders with new info added.

I would also like new products reviewer looked at.I would like info on latest technology of basic stuff like exteral hard drives and the like.

Very true.
Also what is wrong with workshops in the magazine?
That is one of the most common queries on this website.. How do I do this or that?
There is nothing in it and it only takes me 15 minutes to read it...
Scott, if your subscriptions are that great in the face of web site competition why do you need to ask for magazine ideas only to respond with flippant remarks...

558925 2007-06-20 12:48:00 Dunno what's wrong with some people... after reading the last few posts there seems to be some aggro against the magazine. Personally I love it, and as mentioned before I'd happily subscribe to it (as I have previously) if I didn't get a free copy these days.

Just buy it, subscribe to it, or don't.

As for content... I think the contributors do a great job of helping us be knowledgable and up-to-date re the products out there.

The only thing I'd call for is a less glossy paper and less advertising pages. The adverts p me off totally!

The beauty of this interweb thing is we are all able to have an opinion, whether rightly justified or not, whether fully informed or not - it is our opinion. Just like this magazine has its own opinion and makes broad comments about many issues trying to stir up the political arena similar to the nz herald. They then spend part of the magazine regurgitating old topics and the same boring old reviews and then some where hidden in those glossy pages and numerous ads (yes they are an unfortunate necessity) is the gem, that one article or computer titbit (no, not partial funbags) that make it worthwhile. Unfortunately some here no longer see any value in hunting for it anymore.

I was once told that I have probably outgrown this magazine and that is probably true - how often though do you unsubscribe or cancel a service to be then sent survey questioning reasons for cancelling. Above are the reasons for it is up to Fairfax to decide whether to address these - or to continue on its current path. As earlier boldly stated - their current business model indicates they are doing the right thing as per numbers which = $$. They are a business and they need to make money, no problem there.
