559853 2007-06-17 03:29:00 I have no axe to grind when it comes to men vs women in the workplace getting to do whatever jobs, I just wanted everything done with the utmost dispatch so I could pay attention to what counted, ie QUALITY, who did it and for what reasons was not in any way important, I could do without all the political BS. The person got to do the job based on my assessment of their capabilities and not their gender. zqwerty (97)
559854 2007-06-17 03:41:00 Well I did stores as part of a job once, carting around 21" monitors and stuff. No idea what they weighed but as the storeman it was my job to unpack trucks and stuff.
The truck drivers were very PC, they watched me do it.

I never whinged. Quite liked stores actually.
If that woman wants to fillet fish I don't see why she can't without getting smartass remarks about pole dancing.

559856 2007-06-17 04:22:00 Personally I think she could have maybe tried asking the fella if she could work in the other dept. instead of going to court. But as usual people kick up such a fuss about something that they martyr themselves. I think she got off lightly although her name did get mentioned, imagine the talking behind her back by her females:lol: rob_on_guitar (4196)
559857 2007-06-17 10:19:00 I recently received a great description of Political Correctness...

Political Correctness

This is nothing short of brilliant.

Following is the winning entry from an annual contest calling for the
most appropriate definition of a contemporary term. This year's term:

Political Correctness.

"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional liberal
minority, and by the mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition
that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd (am I allowed to say that word?) by the clean end."

What do you mean 2012 Rugby World Cup? The Black Ferns are currently the Womens Rugby World champs from the last world cup I think.

559859 2007-06-17 10:42:00 I do believe sex discrimination works both ways, its just we don't here about the men being rejected for jobs based on the fact they are male, it does happen. I wouldn't be very happy walking into my local strip bar to find the owner had put the females behind the bar and males hanging off the poles.
I would presume it would be hard as a male to get a job in a female only gyms.

559860 2007-06-17 10:44:00 Actually that would just mean that you had walked into a Gay bar plod. Apparently those places earn quite a bit of money for their owners, and they have men behind the bar rather than women. ;) winmacguy (3367)
559861 2007-06-17 10:52:00 We should make positions clear,I am in Mets camp and the girlboys are in Zqwerties camp. Cicero (40)
559862 2007-06-17 11:00:00 Awwww, you hurt my feelings Cicero. I am such an alpha male that I don't want to be on anyone's team but my own, if we're playing the game of oneupmanship. zqwerty (97)
