559843 2007-06-17 02:24:00 Its the big strong woman that are complaining, they may as well be men. So be it, but I have seen the introduction of woman to the armed forces, now that is a joke to be seen.

As for weedy men they tend to get weedy jobs anyways.

559844 2007-06-17 02:27:00 But there are big strong women and weedy small men, our physical attributes as a group overlap, when comparing men to women.

Hence:

it was uncommon for women to be filleters
Uncommon, not unheard of.

As time went on I stopped choosing men to do the job as they were more trouble than they were worth.

So you're saying discrimination based on gender is fine as long as it is only in favour of women?

559846 2007-06-17 02:51:00 That's life, not discrimination, says Talley's Fisheries boss, Andrew Talley.

Damn right, These people just make crap worse for everybody, Talley should now reduce the pay for everyone.

God damn, The first thing you do when presented with a new worker is try them in a role you think may suite them, These aholes didn't have to accept the jobs and money they were getting for their time. But no, They would rather bite the hand that feeds because they are such miserable people.

New Zealand fields a team of women, Seems they confiscated all the mens penises. As expected they lost every game, Spokeswomen Davina Jackson claims its the men in the other teams fault and she expects to have them barred before the next round of Internationals.

559848 2007-06-17 02:55:00 Jesus I hate PC.

People who say that usually think anything is PC they don't agree with.

559849 2007-06-17 03:01:00 Reminds me of this article. (www.nzherald.co.nz)

When he took over, things went downhill for him.

So he hired Asian labour... (www.nzherald.co.nz)

6 years later, he has developed a bad case of Type 2 Diabetes, he's literally bloated and got caught laundering money ($600k) so the IRD took half of it.

Serves that B'stard right. (Yes, I know who that guy is)

559850 2007-06-17 03:15:00 I don't care whether it's men or women who do the job as long as it gets done with the least hassle for me, I quickly found that women fulfilled that requirement better than men in the particular instance I am referring to.

There are many methods management can use to get rid of workers who are under-performing in jobs and persist just because it is what they want to do, if these women in the fish processing job can't do as many operations in a given time, you just pay them less by pay based on performance.

In the production work I spoke about above, in general, the women were not there to further their careers, they just wanted extra money for their family situation whereas the men mostly saw everything they did as a stepping stone to greater things in their career, hence the moaning when given tasks they felt were beneath them but still absolutely vital to the future of the company. The women just did the job day in, day out as soon as they had the confidence and knew that they could do it.

Also, generally speaking but by no means always true, women tended to co-operate and fit in with whatever was required whereas men were more competitive and did not work as well in team efforts which is what production electronics is all about in MHO.

So you would say this isn't a case of so-called "political correctness"? Are you able to give an example of what you think qualifies as PC?

559852 2007-06-17 03:23:00 They're all overpaid. Either that or their resellers are grossly ripping off the NZ public by the prices we have to pay in supermarkets for fresh fish.

I mean, $25 per kilo for snapper??? The Fisheries Commission or whoever regulates the bunch of thieves who regulate the industry should be hung. Slowly. After they've repaid the billions of overcharges to NZers.

In a country such as New Zealand you'd expect fish to almost be a staple. Instead it's a ******* luxury!
