559208 2007-06-15 02:34:00 i love how the old iMacs (the fruity colored ones) would pretty much explode if you drop kicked it - all the fancy designer plastic just shattering as you put your boot into it and then the actual computer falling to bits as it facePlanted the ground :P

lucky we were wearing steel capped boots as those iMacs were heavy :P

559209 2007-06-15 03:54:00 Thats the point. You aren't suppose to open them. One reason why I hate them.

Exactly.:badpc: And the registered dealers/repairers charge $130 per hour to 'fix' them. We do NOT want to fix them, as we feel it is a rip off!.

PC games hit MacOS

Old news.
there is an interesting article on Slashdot.

Even on the Mac forums most users agree that Apple still has a lot of work to do if it wants to appeal to the gaming community.

Generally they don't need to be opened unless you want to add more RAM. You by a Mac to the spec you want, turn it on and work.

559214 2007-06-15 06:42:00 They don't fail, do they? That's a PC characteristic, which is intensified by all the "upgrading" and "fixing" people do. :D Graham L (2)

Probably not as often as a PC. OS X can suffer from the Unix Kernel Panic if your really trying hard though, much like your car can drive into a tree on the side of the road at 100kph if you really try. ;)

My beige PC would be pretty useless too if I drove my car over it...

559217 2007-06-15 07:56:00 we were going to tie it to the tow bar of our ute and go racing in the paddocks - but we took off to fast and tore the handle off it - so drop kicking was the only thing we could think of - i had to use that damn mac for a week and a half so it was NOT missed at all :yuck: MAC_H8ER (5897)
