| 1435401 | 2017-05-16 22:20:00 | Go into the update history & see what updates failed. did it fail on the install or download Could be a buggy update , an update not compatible with your system (eg wrong language, hardware ) , could be Winupdate servers are overloaded, could be download timed out or failed. |

| 1435402 | 2017-05-16 22:21:00 | Did you use the Media Creation Tool with the latest version? Usually it takes a couple of Updates to sort it's self out with a new build anyway |

| 1435404 | 2017-05-16 23:54:00 | Error 0x8024401c is often related to some outdated or corrupt driver / program. Version 1607 can be particularly bad for it. Have a read of the following for fixes ( scroll past the BS ads) windowsreport.com There is another that sometimes works as well. This removes any download corrupted files. Open a CMD as admin, type in net stop wuauserv After a few moments you should see a message saying windows updates have been stopped. if you get a message saying windows updates have not started ( similar wording) then start them net start wuauserv, then stop them again with the previous command. navigate to C:\Windows Locate the Softwaredistubition folder, and rename it to Softwaredistubition.old ( you MUST stop windows updates other wise you wont be able to rename it) Restart windows updates or reboot ( I reboot just for the hell of it) and re run windows updates. |
