Hear, hear. How nice it was to have you (BM) absent for a while.

For all our sakes, just keep off this forum as you are nothing but a really boring troll with absolutely nothing positive to say.

But I know some of you just can't help it. So please try harder.

B.M. I know you have found Linux to be better than sliced bread, but not everyone has to eat it. Stop going on and on at every opportunity. Me, I like sliced bread and ran dedicated Linux OS's for many years at home. Heck, I started with Linux with Red Hat 8, used to regularly compile my own kernels and even took leave of my sense at one point and compiled Gentoo completely from source code on a 933 MHz. But as much as I appreciated and enjoyed Linux, I did not take the opportunity to annoy the heck out of everyone about it and make digs why it is better than non-sliced bread.

So put a cork in it please.

I’m sorry Jen, but I had no idea this forum was a “Microsoft Place of Worship”.

Sure, I’m very pleased to be a convert to Linux after a number of years, (11 in fact) when you and Graham L tried unsuccessfully to get ubuntu (XC4042 Dick Smith) to work with my soft modem.

That exercise was a failure and I then treated Linux then with the same disdain as I treat Microsoft today.

What a difference 11 years have made. :)

(Long time no see Graham L, can you shed any light on him?)

Unfortunately, I fear your your suggestion to block or ignore members you don’t like will be too advanced for a few moaners who want everything their way.

Honestly, if they find this Forum hard work, they must find real life Hell.

1435278 2017-05-16 04:05:00 so what patch must 7 64 bit sp1 have installed to be secure specifically and also what patch for 10 Home 64 bit so I can go look that these patches are installed okay?

Or is it sufficient I have all patches installed always....??

Thanks as always...

Select the correct one for your version of OS you are running. www.catalog.update.microsoft.com

Windows 10 doesn't need is it the updates have been installing, that was patched back in March.

Stupidity.
And relying on MS to patch....it's so pointless. It goes on and on and on....they are always patching, it never stops. Often there are patches to fix the patches.

Taking some responsibility for yourself helps far more.
And backup.

wai, thanks for that link. The Press this morning said there was a fix for even XP, but I could not find it. Security Update for Windows XP SP3 (KB4012598)

A previous mention somewhere stated that there are still 30% of people using XP, so it's not all bad news for this old workhorse program.

We presume W10 has it covered with auto updates?.

lurking.

ps. have copied important files onto an external hard drive.

lurks.
