Obviously you never served on any of the 4 Ark Royals Cic. :)

They were aircraft carriers, and as such did not have big guns. The first Ark had quick firing 12 pounders, the next two had 4.5" guns, and the current one has 20mm Phalanx guns.

561630 2007-06-22 09:01:00 The Dutch builders should have also installed the famed Dutch Goalkeeper (en.wikipedia.org) machine guns. vinref (6194)
561631 2007-06-22 09:35:00 Yeah, when's the NZ navy ever going to fire these guns? Or actually have enough sailors to?? beeswax34 (63)
561632 2007-06-22 09:41:00 don't worry, with those sorts of guns the NZ newest boat will be easly sunk well before anyone gets to use them ;) tweak'e (69)
561633 2007-06-22 09:48:00 You've heard of builders nail guns, these .5mm are the seldom seen panel pin gun.

PS Terry don't you mean Vickers 2 pounder or "Pom Pom"?
