561642 2007-06-22 04:52:00 Microsoft is using the mulit-touch technology that they implemented into their Surface Table and porting it to normal computers. Check out the video above of a demo of a laptop modified to use multi-touch.

Will multi-touch displays replace the boring old mouse in the future? I'm highly skeptical, but it looks like enough money is being pumped into the technology that it'll have a shot at the mainstream soon enough. –Adam Frucci

It was better than the earlier clip than was posted on PF1 although the potential laptop setup still looks like it could do with a lot of refinement before being released to market.
The iPhone uses similar technology and will be released at AT&T stores on the 29th of June.
