560896 2007-06-20 05:58:00 That captions/transcribes audio? I need to purchase one, because i'm goign to be using it all year for my video directing and editing class.

I found a program that turns text into audio... but I can't find one that transcribes or captions audio/video for me.

560897 2007-06-20 06:29:00 What OS and video editing app are you using?
I thought you had to ad the captions yourself but I guess I could be wrong.

It's more for news conferences, interviews (1 on 1).

Not for music.

I type 145 WPM on average, but it's not enough to keep up with a regular interview. :p

WOW! I didn't know that was possible on a qwerty keyboard. The fastest I have heard of is around 70wpm for a very fast admin/pa.

It depends what keyboard i'm typing on.

My laptop keyboard, the keys are so stiff that I can't type that fast(or accurately). My old Compaq computer keyboard, I can get that fast because the keys are broken in pretty well and very sensitive.

You should be working for TV1 news or Closeup typing up the closed captions for live interviews then. :)
