| 749507 | 2009-02-19 21:08:00 | I'm the moron who deleted my whole inbox yesterday and I've had help sorting that out so it won't happen again. I had chosen to save a copy of my emails on the server but ended up receiving multiple copies of every email (and multiple copies of every email I sent were being saved as well). I went in and unticked that box again, but now I've got another problem! I sent myself an email to check I wasn't still receiving multiple copies, but the emails are not arriving in my inbox - they are landing in my sent box instead. I sent one email from one of my addresses to all six of my Paradise email addresses. I saw them flash up as they arrived, but all were filed into my sent folder instead of the inbox. So if I send one email, two copies end up in the sent folder - the one I sent and the one I should have received. What have I done wrong and how can I fix it? All I've done apart from what I've listed above is save a backup. And now nothing is coming through - I just sent a test message from Outlook and there were no problems, but nothing has come through to my inbox. I went online and checked and they were on the server, marked as spam - so I moved them into the inbox and now they have come through to Outlook - what on earth is going on as they are from one Paradise address to another, and have never been marked as spam before! |

I just checked again and all the Outlook test messages had been labelled as spam by Paradise again so were all in the spam folder on the server. When I move them from the spam folder to the inbox, then they all download into Outlook fine. It looks like that may be a problem with Paradise labelling Microsoft test messages as spam. I just tried sending myself an email from one email address (Paradise) to another (Horde) and then from that address (Horde) to the other (Paradise) and the one sent from the Paradise address to the Horde one arrived in the inbox fine, but both copies (the sent copy and the one that should have arrived in my inbox) of the one sent from the Horde address to the Paradise one have ended up in the sent folder. Bizarre and very annoying! I just went in and had a look and for some reason (I certainly don't recall doing it but I must have!) there was a rule on the Horde account to move them to the sent folder... so I appear to have fixed this problem now. Don't you just love blonde days! |
