| 560670 | 2007-06-20 01:33:00 | The St Albans exchange in CHCH was the first to have ADSL+2 "rolled out" to customers (live now). Anyone choosing ADSL2 over the well subscribed Cable network in St Albuns are nuts, but I am guessing thats why Telecom did it. ADSL2+ is basically not much of an improvement over ADSL beyond 1.5Km's away from the exchange which is most of the population. The money is better spent on a Fibre Network or a Hybrid Fibre/Cable network like the Current Telstra Clear network, of course this would cost billions more but its better than this ADSL2+ band aid. |
