750766 2009-02-23 21:05:00 Hi,
I have XP pro and have little trouble operating these days- whether it be getting out of trouble or installing programs etc etc
Frankly I am bored - what would happen if I tried the BETA V7 ?
Would my XP programmes even work- especially a Hoyle card game demo which should be started in W 98 but works untouched by this requirement in XP?

Could I revert if the S*** hits the fan?
I have XP Pro
SP3
Intell(R)
1 gb ram
3.06 Ghz
Pentium 4 CPU
80 gb hard drive
:thanks

750767 2009-02-23 21:16:00 what about installing inside virtual box, then you can see what it's like, remember it's still beta though.

the specs it needs for VB are 512mb ram and 20gig for the hdd

750771 2009-02-23 22:03:00 if anything goes wrong in will be inside VB and not your main system GameJunkie (72)
750772 2009-02-23 22:29:00 Windows 7 wouldn't run so well in a VM will those specs..I suggest a dual boot, its simple with windows7, IIRC you just install, reboot, and you have the option to boot into xp or windows 7 Blam (54)

That's the case only if you have two hard drives or one in two partitions.

OP, How big is your hard drive?

Is this in your physical machine or a virtual one? Have you set your boot order correctly and mounted an ISO file for the system to boot from (if using Virtual Box)??
