| 750327 | 2009-02-22 20:03:00 | Ive got a balance sheet here that has been sent in PDF format and I would like to convert it to an XL spreadsheet so as to be able to do some calculations without using a calculator. Ive tried a couple of programmes that import it ok but you cant calculate anything as it seems to be just an image. Any suggestions anyone? :thanks |

| 750330 | 2009-02-22 20:55:00 | Most "PDF-to-X" conversion software are not freeware. B.M. You mentioned it seems to be just an image. In that case, you would need an OCR to recognise the text first before attempt to convert it to .xls(x). Perhaps you can ask nicely for the balance sheet to be resent in Excel-compatible format? Cheers :) |

Cheers :) Dont mind paying for something that works. Which has just reminded me that years ago, at huge expense, I purchased a programme called Adobe6 with Adobe6 Distiller. As I recall this was supposed to do something along these lines but I cant remember ever getting it to do anything useful. :groan: Ill dig it out and give it another try. And no, unfortunately I cant get the balance sheet in XL format, more the pity. :crying |
