| 750148 | 2009-02-22 02:36:00 | This kind of follows on from a previous thread see: forums.pcworld.co.nz (Ill be adding to it a little later to tell you wots appened. (Thanks to Speedy, WainT,PCTec)). I've decided to try the above since it crops up in a lot of peoples' signatures and I think Windows firewall is a bit iffy. The question is should I install their AV module as well when I'm already using Avast Home, MalwareBytes, Spybot, Spyware terminator, Super Antispyware and AShampoo Antispyware? Yep, I know all that seems a bit paranoid but they do turn up different things! Thanks |

| 750151 | 2009-02-22 03:38:00 | Also when you get to This window (www.imagef1.net.nz) - I suggest you UNTICK all the boxes - one of those Ask.com is being picked up by lots of antispyware as an infection, Ask.com denies its spyware, but better to be safe than sorry. | wainuitech (129) | ||
| 750152 | 2009-02-22 04:55:00 | Thanks for the advice folks - it's what I'd suspected. Speedy - I always do a custom install and WainT the timely reminder about Ask.Com was great. I'd read it but forgotten about it... So thanks everyone |
