Proof positive that Telecom and Vodaphone in NZ are making a killing!!

Have you got a plan with either of these suppliers that is better than:

450 minutes a month, unlimited data, 200 SMS messages, rollover minutes (I assume these are the ones you haven't used from the previous month), unlimited mobile to mobile (free? doesn't reduce monthly minutes?) - all for the princely sum of US$59.99

And this is the BASIC plan!!!

563336 2007-06-27 02:52:00 Well when you basically have a cartel in this country thanks to a collusion between Telecom and Vodafone, what can we expect. We have, I think the highest cost of cell phone charges in the whole of the OECD, even Mexico beats us. beeswax34 (63)

"But industry analysts expect the first iPhone to sell quickly, at least in its initial months . "

Leads to the question . . . . How long will it take to sell the second one??

About half as long as it takes to sell the first million units :)
The bigger question should be; How far away do you think the second iPhone is and will it have larger storage and a couple of different models?
This is Apple after all ;)

563339 2007-06-27 04:19:00 Apple's only limitation to how fast they can sell the iPhone will be how well the component suppliers can keep up with the demand. winmacguy (3367)
563340 2007-06-27 05:27:00 This deal could open the way for Vodafone to be the iPhone carrier in NZ later on.
Vodafone is among the frontrunners to become the network operator for Apple's iPhone when it comes to Europe, according to investment bank Credit Suisse.

A recent Credit Suisse research note said the U.K.-based mobile operator could walk away with the sole rights to sell the iPhone in Europe.

Credit Suisse believes Vodafone would represent a good bet for Apple as it's able to offer a presence in most European markets.

In the United States, Apple has signed an exclusive five-year deal with AT&T to be sole operator for the iPhone--and Credit Suisse believes a similar deal could be brokered in Europe.

They'l have to make it true WCDMA working ion the 2.1G spectrum before it will be much use here.. on either carrier..
