2007-06-25 09:36:00 | I didn't let my jacket dry properly before putting it away & now it stinks :yuck: I've put it through the wash a couple of times & dried it out properly, but it still smells a bit. Any ideas on getting the smell out?

2007-06-25 10:43:00 | Hang it on the clothesline (especially on a fine or windy day) We get plenty of windy days down here, but they are usually accompanied by a bitterly cold wind & rain/hail

As this product will remove a smell from an item of clothing usually worn by infants. Some older people may have the same problem. :-) Now what sort of Jacket is this? |

2007-06-25 11:06:00 | Soak it with a good smelling detergent (to wash away the mould that are causing the smell) and a small glass of pure lemon juice. Prepare for some squeezing!

2007-06-25 11:16:00 | And as Myth says:- Hang it on the clothes line. With the Hail, Rain, Snow, Sun, Wind and etc. Keep it there for a week or two. Light a BBQ under the clothes line and cook some oysters. A smell will still be there but certain people may be interested. Other than that you could present the said item to the local Dry Cleaning or Laundry. Let them take care of it. Now if this JACKET came from certain people I may well change my advice.

2007-06-26 02:25:00 | I think I'll try napisan. The vanilla essence or lemon juice is an interesting idea that I may well try if the napisan doesn't work. | Greven (91) | |
