This may seem large, but running out of room on the OS partition is very, very annoying and you can afford the space with large HDDs. Large???!!! :eek: I have a 75GB sys partition and I have 8.54GB free space... and that is only my documents and programs, not downloads... Heck, I can't even run my media PC off a 20GB HDD (all media is stored on a server) |

I run my hard drive this way and I'm using 9GB on my 15GB Windows partition, but I'm being lazy and have probably 2-3GB of stuff on my desktop included in that, and various other things. I then have a 129GB data partition with 127GB used :o |

Hmm, if you had modern games on there you'd need a fair bit more. It's a case-by-case basis thing I suppose. 15GB is enough for me, but I don't have any big games on there. It also depends on the size of your hard drive. If it's 500GB, for example, you might as well just give Windows 70+GB, but if it's only 160, you would possibly want to be more conservative. |

But yes, you are right, it is a case by case thing depending on peoples uses and such, like me I need a lot of space due to games, but then there could be someone who only needs a few small programs but a lot of data... |
