Its getting sickening, with all the talk about how Alinghi must be suffering and not showing it. Or the empty interview on Close up tonight trying to psychoanalise the teams. I think they would get more real content out of the Paris Hilton story. |

2007-06-28 05:52:00 | I, too am surprised. I thought it would have turned into an Alinghi bashing thread today after their supposed cheating last night..:illogical | wratterus (105) | |
2007-06-28 08:57:00 | Yip looks like the alinghi boys are back to cheating again, for not having a halyard at the top of their rig this halyard weighs 5kg according to chris dickson on campbell live, Now because al dinghy had no halyard this can mean that their boat is lighter and faster than what it should be giving them a speed edge.TNZ were quite within their rights to protest i hope after 9pm tonight NZ time that they dock a point off al dinghy which would gives us the lead of 3 - 1. | Hitech (9024) | |

2007-06-28 11:58:00 | BINGO Team nz is not a national team, you dont have to be a citizen. It's more of a business then rugby. At least with rugby if you want to play for the AB's you have to play your rugby here and be a NZer. exactly what i was thinking, how can we call it a national team if members can be of any nationality? all this talk of "traitors", while i agree with the term, doesn't apply as this isn't a national event. lol TNZ is largely sponsored by an arab airline ***! (then again airNZ can't even afford it's own engineers, let alone a boat:lol:) it's just a matter of which team can afford the best sailors and buy the best designers:groan: which is how the guiness cup became the america's cup in the first place! the only national part is that the winner gets to host it... unless they're landlocked, so really the winner get to decide where to host it. yet all that said, GO TNZ:thumbs:

2007-06-29 15:40:00 | Bugger! Yeh, not much you can do about a blown spinnaker. At least we know that we are competitive in 14-16 knots of breeze.
