| 561868 | 2007-06-23 11:29:00 | Why do you think NZ Macguide is no longer in publication macguide.co.nz Not enough people buying the magazine which is probably also due to the fact that the Mac using population of NZ is probably not big enough to support it despite actually growing in size. Also we can get our up to the minute info from the web which I certainly do. Most of the news that came in the mag was at least 1 month old although unlike a PC mags they did have good features and tips . A lot of magazines are suffering a drop in circulation due to changing reading habits and greater web use. |

| 561870 | 2007-06-23 11:36:00 | Did you even look at the link I sent Sorry Safari i didn't. I was under the impression that they were no longer producing NZ Macguide according to this link www.nzmac.com As well as the message on their home page. Issue 34 is out - The final issue of Macguide Written by Philip Roy Saturday, 23 June 2007 Issue 34 of New Zealand Macguide is out. The July/August 2007issue sees the end of the print run of Macguide and ends with a feature on peripherals for you Mac. Featuring all the great news, reviews and stories you'd expect to see, it is a great issue to finish on. http://www.nzmac.com/ In an email sent on June 14, Parkside Media informed advertisers that New Zealand's first and only Macintosh magazine will cease publication with the forthcoming Issue 34 (July/August 2007), two issues shy of a 6 year run. Ironically the decision (due to a drop in advertising revenue) comes amidst a 6 month period that has seen Apple taking direct ownership of the Apple NZ website, the launch of an iTunes NZ Store, the start of an online Apple store for New Zealanders, as well as Resellers reporting strong sales in Macs. |
