2007-06-25 04:26:00 | I think that was NZL 94 not 84. The number 84 belonged to one of the other syndicate boats. I think out boat/sail numbers are 94 and 92 which are generated when the first strip of kevlar is laid to form the hull of the new boat hence the somewhat unusual naming/numbering sequence. | winmacguy (3367) | |
2007-06-25 04:36:00 | We don't have a NZL94 We only have NZL92 and NZL84 which is the follow on from NZL 82 the one that broke in 2003. Since their is no yacht racing tonight i wonder if TNZ will switch back to the NZ flag bulb it appeared to be faster and their wasn't as much pitching of the boat as their is with the longer buzzy be bulb.

2007-06-25 05:18:00 | I read on the net last week that toyota have said that TNZ has done enough by winning the louis vuitton cup to have an assured future after this campaign. Which means TNZ does not have to go on a massive witch hunt looking for money as toyota will keep them going until TNZ finds more sponsors next time round.

2007-06-25 05:32:00 | They won't change the bulbs back as ETNZ said they are more than happy with there boat speed. They even said that after yesterdays race. Trevor :)

2007-06-26 00:44:00 | What about tonight's race? Gotta say I'm confident again. Team NZ (et al) have got the boat speed in 2 of 3 kinds of conditions so far encountered, some of the word's best sailors, perhaps the current world's best matchracing helmsman, and beating Bad Margarineworth the other night should count for something.
