| 562556 | 2007-06-25 07:47:00 | It's not the Mac part that is the big deal, it is the h.264 codec that enables the content onto your computer and into your living room. Apple developed the h.264 codec which YouTube now uses as opposed to YouTube using WMV from Microsoft since YouTube is owned by Google. OnDemand is not currently Mac compatible, YouTube is crossplatform. |

So, as far as I can see they are just adding another distribution system for their free content. Not much point in terms of viewing on a computer because you can just go to TVNZ On Demand, but as YouTube is being integrated into other devices, it could be handy to have access to their content via YouTube as well. |
