562378 2007-06-24 15:54:00 Are they dark meat or white?

I don't like white meat that much.

How many to a serving?

562379 2007-06-24 21:45:00 None of the above.

Its grey on top, dark tail and wing feathers. The green/yellow is only underneath the wings.

I went through that gallery too, but couldn't see it.
I thought some kind of finch.

My cat has eaten about 13 of them in the last 10 days.
I used to see them in Auckland too, so not specific to down South.

Well at least they aren't poisonous to cats anyway.

Maybe the down-Southers ate all theirs.

562381 2007-06-24 22:03:00 Husband was concerned in case they were a native......

I don't think so, I quite like having my fruit guarded.

We do get fantails sometimes but the cats don't slaughter them, don't know why, maybe they don't taste nice.

Do ya roast the potatoes as well, or boil them with mint and chuck in 27lbs of butter once they cooked?

Might be dinner at pctek's place....I'll bring beer or bourbon depending on weather.....

562384 2007-06-25 03:41:00 Sorry, no good turning up here for dinner.

The only left over for the humans is a few fluffy feathers.

Anyone what a natural stuffed duvet though.....

They're too darn quick! that's why  I've got a few cats, they bring in rabbits, blackbirds, even the odd wood pigeon or eel, but never a fantail. one of em even got a swallow once.
