| 750617 | 2009-02-23 09:29:00 | I went to buy a seagate sataII hdd and I discover that they have model or code suffixes. I need it for a home based XP machine use for web browsing, gaming & Msoft office etc. Can someone please advise me. Codes are ncq, sas, sv35 3series, es, es2, 10 ,11. 1.5TB. Using google I found: ncq is: "native command queuing" www.webopedia.com The 10 & 11 look to be random read seek time (performance indicator) Sas... is serial attached scsi www.webopedia.com This the PC shop page I am looking at: www.einfo.co.nz It would appear that the NCQ is the one to go for, please help demystify it for me, many thanks. P.S. this is a great forum, simply awesome! |
