| 563374 | 2007-07-01 05:33:00 | Living with mummy and daddy to save my deposit. :D Seriously thou if one had a 500k loan that's like $1,000 just interest for the first week. If one cannot pay that off you arn't covering the interest even. Or even 250k loan which is likely an (student-like studio) apartment only in the key cities. Being a single person putting 50% just to cover the interest is a bit extreme for a student like studio apartment (bedroom is the lounge). |

| 563375 | 2007-07-01 05:35:00 | I went on Westpac and for interest I put in my income and stuff and it told me what I could get a loan for. I struggled to get a loan of $200k, in NZ what can you get for that? Other than having 100-200k cash in the bank ready for the deposit and then use the bank's 200k loan. Perhaps that is just an indication but still.... |
