| 751287 | 2009-02-25 21:38:00 | Hi there If I register a domain name and it load up a webpage, how can I redirect that page it to another "website" after say a 5-6 second pause? Yes, I can add a link to the 2nd site, can I get the page itself to switch over automatically? Ive done something similar with this code, to switch to another page on a website, but I want another website altogether <head> <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5;url=/home.html"> In the ;url=/www.newsite.co.nz Would that do it? Thanks John in Mosgiel. |

Thanks John in Mosgiel. If the registrar provides free ul redirection, they won't usually provide you with facility to upload your own redirection page or script. You would have to have that page that delays the redirection hosted. You shold also be careful with companies that offer free redirection, as some of them, the servers they use for the redirection aren't all that reliable as it is a free service, so if their server goes down, so does the redirection. |
