750942 2009-02-24 05:10:00 Hi all .

Bought a Altec Lansing BXR1121 speaker, 2 satellites and 1 subwolfer . Nothing is coming out of the left speaker, tried music and movies .

Any ideas? Cheers

Another question, what's the best mix of treble and bass, I know bass is low, treble is high.

I like bass, so I have bass at a high setting, I notice if I turn treble down, the overall volume of the music goes down, and when treble is high, the music sounds louder with higher notes.

So is it good to have them both set at reasonably high? Not maximum, about 70-80%?

Cheers

Whatever works best for you, mate.

As we age we tend to lose the sensitivity to higher frequencies at a fairly steady rate, so depending on your age you may find boosting the treble lets you appreciate more nuances to the music. I dunno what frequencies industry / iPod abuse can do to your hearing.

As a youth I just loved bass. Now it just gives me a headache.
