I still remember Albert Einstein has once made this quote:

"Science without religion is blind"

You have completely misunderstood what Einstein meant here. Misuse of this quote is one of the "tricks" that creationists use to claim that Einstein supported religion.

Read this for a start. (www.eclipse.co.uk)

563564 2007-06-27 21:29:00 Because evolution as it is at present is the current theory.
Note the important distinction there - theory.

Make sure you correctly understand the meaning of the term "theory" (www.talkorigins.org)

563566 2007-06-27 23:24:00 Creationists are pretty scarey people, they actually beleive their own theory. I hope they arent a large scale Jonestown cult...:( rob_on_guitar (4196)
563567 2007-06-28 00:53:00 I don't believe in any god/gods, although do find most religions quite interesting. I tell my son to shop around before he believes or not. I guess I'm still window shopping but I honestly don't think ill ever end up buying. I believe the sun will rise and fall, rain will drop, grass will grow blah blah blah. I don't believe in heaven or hell as I think they are the one and the same (earth). I figure Ill find out if there was a god or devil when I die, and I'm guessing by then I will be passed the point of caring.

Do I believe in the big bang? ...... Truth is I don't really care, I could wonder and question and research but I don't think we will ever know for sure. We could ponder or use some high tech model made and used by scientists then claim its a scientific fact to prove there was a big bang and we were formed from tiny blah blah blah blah ...... I reckon its hard enough to concentrate on surviving through this forsaken life without the hassle of wondering about all the previous ones.

563568 2007-06-28 03:00:00 Without religion, there wouldn't be ethical boundaries as to what we can do with science .

Damn I hate this self-satisfied, smug, stuck up, narrow-minded, bigoted little sentiment that is often expressed by those who have religion towards those that do not . It is the hieght of delusional arrogance to assume that all morality flows from religion . That human beings who live their lives without religion are uncapable of possessing true ethics or morals .

Yes I do.
A current set of ideas on how something is or came to be.
But with the point that it can be altered, adjusted, amended as new facts are found.

As opposed to We already know the entire story, no discussion or amnedments allowed.

563570 2007-06-28 05:28:00 A not quite off topic question: What is the differance between an Athiest and an Agnostic? rob_on_guitar (4196)

Not much....

Agnosticsm (en.wikipedia.org) and atheism (en.wikipedia.org) are kind of different....one denies everything and the other only denies what you want it to.

563572 2007-06-28 06:33:00 There must be a god. I hear the mrs calling his name a few nights a week.
As far as the children are concerned, I am god. I keep telling them I brought them into this world, and I can take them out of it
