| 563723 | 2007-07-18 11:49:00 | If the Bible is the word of God, then what do the learned PF1 contributors make of Leviticus 25:44 which clearly states it is ok to acquire slaves from neighbouring pagan nations? I might have to start rounding up a few pagan Ockers to be my slaves...... Also, in Numbers 15:32 a man is stoned to death for collecting sticks on the Sabbath. Does anyone know which day is the real Sabbath? {just checking so that I can avoid being stoned} So it's ok to hurl a few stones at the workers at the local McD's on the Sabbath given the Bible said so? {I'll have 3 flat rocks and a packet of gravel!} But how do we know a day or two may have been missed or added such that the real Sabbath might be a different day? And Genesis 4:17 - if Cain was the son of Adam and Eve, then where did Cain get his wife from? If the Bible is to be taken literally, then the only other female present on the planet was Eve. Don't shoot the messenger - I am merely quoting from what is apparently God's word.....any comments on this are welcome! Cheers, Andrew |

The other day I was given a magazine titled "Creation" (very topical - had me in stitches). One of the articles was particularly derisory towards scientists for having "blind faith" in the big bang theory - oh the irony, if only the author could have seen it! Cheers, Andrew |

But those 7 would tell you they have "evidence". They've had little chats to god and felt the spirit in them. That's proof for them. Personally, I've also felt the spirit in me, but it's usually 49% proof and comes from Kentucky ... |

| 563730 | 2007-07-19 09:20:00 | Those priests and churches on the news the other day for their out of court settlement for their molestation of innocent children is absolutely disgraceful and there’s no denying that. They may not condone it but the churches try their best to cover it up. This awful crime is contributed to the fact that their stupid pathetic rules insist priests lead a life of celibacy. For this to happen to just one child is justification enough for me that every last church standing should be pulled down. What’s also wrong is the Popes standing against condoms, this has helped spread the disease of aids and cause famines in under developed countries because of unwanted pregnancies. |
