| 751749 | 2009-03-01 04:01:00 | I would recommend the dell 2408, as it is a very nice monitor and I got mine for about $800. It however may not be as good as others for games, as I believe the cheaper TN panels are better for game. However due to the low exchange rate, and the interest rate cuts, it has risen in price to about $1200. Nice monitor though. I would recommend getting a monitor now from a retailer with existin gstock at a lower price, as they will go up in price when retailers buy them at the new excahnge rate prices. Is that the ultrasharp model? I have that. I got it for $900, $100 discount at the time. I have noticed the undiscounted price of $1,000 has creeped up to $1,200. |

Where by best = image quality, contrast ratio, panel uniformity and viewing angles. Best 22" is probably Dell 2209wa. No other* 22" in the world (as far as I know) can touch it in terms of image quality and viewing angles. It is in the same league as the 24" Dell and HP. Don't know much about the image processing lag, but with most IPS panels, I'd expect it to be about 20-30ms, which is about standard for IPS panels and lcd tvs. *The Lenovo L220x probably comes close, but you can get 2 Dells for the price of the Lenovo. |
