| 563890 | 2007-06-28 22:26:00 | That one would do fine... I actually got the next model down without the 'flash' video card because mine just ain't gonna be doing anything with video. There is nothing else in the market with the specs... wireless and bluetooth etc that matches the Toshiba. It doesn't have a built in web cam though. You might think the screen is a bit dark, but there is a brightness adjustment 'drop down' menu at top of screen (which is set low by default) and the screen also darkens to save power on battery. Once you adjust the screen it's fine (not as good as a desktop LCD though) Godfather's right, only the ram/HD can be upgraded. I didn't get extra ram from DSE as it was way cheaper elsewhere. The model you're looking at already has 1 gig of ram, which should be fine... at a squeeze you might be able to get DSE to keep 1 stick of 512 if you want to upgrade and pay for an extra 1-2 gigs. They should be able to put the extra ram in for you if you don't want to do it yourself, but it's pretty easy... even instructions to do it in the manual :) |
