I would recommend the dell 2408, as it is a very nice monitor and I got mine for about $800. It however may not be as good as others for games, as I believe the cheaper TN panels are better for game. However due to the low exchange rate, and the interest rate cuts, it has risen in price to about $1200. Nice monitor though. I would recommend getting a monitor now from a retailer with existin gstock at a lower price, as they will go up in price when retailers buy them at the new excahnge rate prices.

Coolest of the bunch IMO.

All the above monitors have the fastest refresh rate, and one is FULL HD

Hi there

i have a 19" at the moment - probably not too worried about it being wide screen - would moving to a 23" make a large difference (perception?)

I really would like to keep it under $425?

Not worried about watching movies so much (I have a media player and lcd tv for that) but mainly for games?

I have a 2GB XP dual core 3. 0G processer

751747 2009-03-01 01:39:00 Yep, but you'll need a tuner box to watch tv Blam (54)
751748 2009-03-01 01:58:00 So your system spec's are:
Operating System:XP
CPU:dual core 3.0 gig
Ram:2 gig
Graphics Card:???????
PSU:?????

For a 23"/24" if your doing it for gaming then you want a decent graphics card for eyecandy and quality settings you will want a graphics card with 1 gig of onboard memory for that.;)

I would go for a ATI Radeon HD 4850 1GB graphics card as a good graphics card to get if you are low on $$$ if you have plenty of $$$$ then it just depends on how much you want to spend!!!:D

And yeah a 23"/24" will be great!!!
