751583 2009-02-26 10:21:00 What do you guys think of the bluetooth wireless mice available? any good? how do they compare (performance, reliability) to the normal wireless mice?

I think they're a great idea coz it means no USB dongle (for newer laptops anyway).

But do they use more power?

I am about to buy a laptop and have been looking around for a mouse.I've come up with the following:
Logitech MX 400 Performance Laser Mouse (Wired)
Logitech LX8 Cordless Laser Mouse
Logitech V470 Cordless Laser Mouse (Bluetooth)

I've had a quick look through Microsoft's ones as well and they have similar specs.

I'm just after a mouse with forward and back buttons and one that can be picked up easily and preferably wireless.

I have a bluetooth mouse that seems to need new batteries at least once a month. And I don't use cheap batteries in it.

Have you looked at the Logitech Nano mice?
THe USB dongle that they come with is tiny and can be left in all the time without worrying about knocking it.

751585 2009-02-26 17:49:00 I use a MS laser wireless 6000 notebook mouse on my desktop as it's a nice small mouse and fits my hand better. I find it great and responsive but of course it has a dongle. I also find the magnify button on it very useful and the battery lasts about 6 months gary67 (56)

Anyone of you might know?
Thanks

Oops-I meant the V450, with the mini usb dongle.
Also- about the back/forward buttons-you can set the tilt functions on the scroll wheel to go back/forward using the included setpoint software
