| 750889 | 2009-02-24 04:53:00 | What difference does it make installing a Memorex USB2 320GB External Hard Drive on to an older computer which has USB1.0 controllers? Would it make the whole installation process slower or would it be impossible to install at all? Can I update the USB 1.0 controllers on the older computer? The hard drive self installs on our two more recently purchased desktop computers (with USB 2.0) and shows up in My Computer and has been fine with storing and retrieving photos etc. On another older desktop computer (with USB 1.0) an HP Pavilion purchased in June 2002, it seems to install but does not show up anywhere. Thanks for your help. |
