| 566184 | 2007-07-05 19:19:00 | www.greencafe.com <go to the bottom live image and see the smog in the valley below where I live! This is from Idyllwild right above me about 12 miles away on twisty roads..the actual distance is about 5 miles as the crow flies> Here's a jpeg of the same area looking down at me from the Red Mountain Fire Lookout Station, about 6 miles to the South..this view is basically to the NNW of that5 site and Hemet/San Jacinto is to the right side of the pix. The altitude of the cam is about 4,000 feet: www.fsvisimages.com Here's another from the same platform as above, but a NNE view this time...notice the smog from last night's fireworks just lingering in our valley! I am at the bottom of all that smog. www.fsvisimages.com These last two jpegs are updated ever so often and posted, not live, but soon after they are taken. |

| 566186 | 2007-07-06 05:03:00 | We need rain very badly...and I'd love some to quench the heat..but then the humidity would get high... We are used to humidity at 5-8% in the Summer...a little more like 20-30% in the Winter...so far it's been really dry. |
