564997 2007-07-02 06:25:00 I guess they don't care about valid code:

validator.w3.org

564998 2007-07-02 06:30:00 so?

There is not that many big websites out there (like the TVNZ website) that do valid (example: validator.w3.org
validator.w3.org
validator.w3.org
validator.w3.org etc....)

565000 2007-07-02 06:35:00 I agree validation can be tricky, but over 250 errors?

Also:

Invalid CSS:
jigsaw.w3.org

Not compliant with Section 508 for accessibility:
www.cynthiasays.com

Slow:

It's no biggy. It's just a check to see whether a website is marked-up and structured correctly according to its DOCTYPE which is usually the first thing declared in a web page. A page doesn't need to validate at all, but it's nice if it does.

It doesn't work properly in Opera. eg the menu bar at the top of the page doesn't even work.

That’s show what every website your talking about has not been tested in Opera.

Sorry, but I can't understand the english in your reply. It's the TVNZ website doesn't work properly in Opera, and it is most likely because of the issues identified above. There is no reason why it shouldn't work. A web designer should check that it works in all 4 of the major browsers, especially a website as big as TVNZ.
