2007-07-05 12:09:00 | However I do recommend you apply for work with our company -- we have need of skills like yours drafting our white papers on open source software.Look, I know you have a vested interest in forcing us out of the market, but surely even you wouldn't sink this low. It's one thing to hire an army of lawyers to battle our antitrust lawsuit - that was entirely expected - but to sic this guy on us just isn't fair. Is this by any chance the designer of Windows Vista's UAC? They both seem to have a lot in common as far as actually communicating a point goes; a lot of talk and no real use.

2007-07-05 12:16:00 | We must keep this thread going. I haven't been so entertained on PressF1 for ages. And yes the Zune does exist. Its pretty unbelievable how many people in NZ haven;t heard of it. They really are crappy, just like Mac's so there you are. The owners of both are usually pretentious fanboys with nothing better but to slam people for not choosing their companies products. The Zune is like the poor mental retarded mongol kid in the school playground back in the 70's, so easy to hassel it's almost mean  Have they sold 1 million units yet? they have been going more than 8 months and come in Brown, Black and Watermelon red. Hey guys come and join the Zune social, squirt me a DRM limited song that only lasts 3 days from your Zune.... yeah right. Microsoft has decided not to sell the Zune in Europe as they are still evaluating their US sales to date although Microsoft sources have said that they are happy with sales of the Zune and are continuing to look at new models and colours in order to promote sales.

2007-07-05 12:20:00 | Indeed. And PedalSlammer seems to be up for a new job opportuity - 'Chief FUDster, Microsoft Inc.' Bill Gates seems pretty genuine about the job opportunity too. You never know, it might even improve Vista:p

2007-07-05 18:16:00 | Considering that anyone in the advertising industry wouldn't recognise Windows or a PC if they tripped over it, that's hardly surprising. That's just a bunch of fanboys sucking up to the object of their adulation. At least if we win ad awards you know they're bought and paid for, and not just sycophantic freebies. ....does anybody know how to txt-spel "sycophantic freebies"?

2007-07-05 20:44:00 | Do you guys know how much it costs to take out a patent ? And you have to do it in many countries. I know of several people who had to mortgage their house to do it ! Regards Digby

2007-07-05 20:51:00 | It is definitely worth it if you want to protect an idea that you believe is worth it. Otherwise every Tom, Dick, and Harry on the planet will be tempted to rip of your IP.(Intellectual Property) The best thing to do would be to get the advice of a good IP or Copyright Lawyer which can be worth it's weight in gold. They should be able to give advice on royalties and licensing which is where you make enough money to retire if your idea takes off.

2007-07-05 21:34:00 | The first thing to do is search some of the other ideas that have already been patented. There are already plenty of suggested improvements to Plug&Play. | PaulD (232) | |
